Not much has been happening during this break of mine. This fact is the reason why I don't mind going back to school again on Monday. On the other hand, I have an art project that will be due in two weeks by the time school starts (keep in mind I haven't done well on my past two projects and my art grade is suffering), I'll have to start on the extended essay on a topic that while I enjoy, is going to be the biggest pain in the butt combined with my advisor, and I'll have to do some CAS junk while contemplating weather I should try out for the play or not. This fact is the reason why I'm not exactly looking forward to starting school again.

I've started knitting a human-sized blanket in an effort to learn more knitting tricks. As with most of my other crafting/art projects, I've been watching stuff on the internet while I work. This time I've been watching 'Knightmare' episodes, a epic British game show. It's a great mix of adventure and role-playing and it's really fun to watch, even if you want to yell at the kids to run out of the room already when they enter a bomb room and take their time exiting. Hugo Myatt as the host Treguard is absolutely fantastic. He's always in character as a sophisticated, mysterious, neutral guy who is an awesome part of the show. I'm almost finished with the forth season at this point. While I think the forth season took some getting used to after the first three seasons, I like the areas and characters it added. My favorite team death so far was in season three, when the all-girl team die by getting surrounded by goblins. They did a good job, they just got screwed over by failing one of Merlin's riddles and missing out on his spell, and their death wasn't a stupid one. I just love the instructions the advisors give the dungeoneer before she gets killed. "Uh...say hi to the goblins and ask if they would like some silver." *cue death screen* Well, at least I found it funny.

So I went to Rotterdam with my mom and my brother this week to see how long it took us to get there by public transport (about an hour and a half, if anyone cares). We looked around at the shops and there was this one gaming shop where besides games, they also sold nerdy figurines based on games like Mario and Zelda. I took a look at them and much to my shock, do you know what I found? The Revoltech Yamaguchi figurine of Professor Layton! I wasn't looking for him and he was a bit pricey, but I figured this was a really lucky moment and the Professor would make a great addition to the doll shelf. If you don't know already, the doll comes with all of this display stuff like a brick floor and a chair and table, and his hands and face can be switched out. Some of the hands has a double use, like one hand can hold a cup of tea and Layton's journal, while the other hand holds his pen. At the moment, the Professor is on display on my desk, sitting at his table with a cup of tea while holding his book and pen. I'll post pictures tomorrow since if I took pictures now, the lighting wouldn't look very good.

Lately I've been having dreams about Disneyland, only it looks more like a giant shopping mall. What a weird reoccurring dream.
