It's spring. Finally, there is light in Montreal.
Wednesday was Montreal's first official sunny day. The temperature went up 10 degrees and the clouds dissipated. It was probably the nicest day I have ever seen. 4 months of cold is totally worth it just for that one day. The McGill campus became this utopia where hot guys played soccer, people read on the grass, and love was in the air. On my way from class to the metro, I couldn't stop smiling. I had mountains of work, I was really stressed, but once I walked out of the Arts Building, I felt a thousand times better.

Spring in the metro is something else. Firstly, the melting snow creates a lot of water which works its way down into the tunnels, making the entire place really humid. The love thing is also present but altered. It mostly consists of street thugs stalking ugly college sluts until they get pissed and ask the thugs to go fuck themselves. I witnessed this twice.

Since then, everyday has become warmer and warmer. However, I haven't been able to take advantage of this because of work. Over the weekend, I had to write two 4 page essays, a 3 page composition, and a 9 page term paper. I probably failed every single one of them. In the past two days, the days during which I actually did something, I lost two nights of sleep and probably had 8 espressos. Of course, all of this is my fault because I was lazy. It fucking sucks that you can no longer blame your laziness on trivial things like colds or mom's b-day. At University, it's either you get the work done or you don't.

In other news, I will soon be apartment hunting and job hunting. I'm really excited about moving out of this place. I can't believe the university can get away with charging so much money for such ugly places.
