The leave source is an important factor to determine the quality of a Pu-erh tea. If you compare a Taidi Cha (Pu-erh made from the plantation bushes)with a Gushu Cha (Pu-erh made from the old growth trees), the difference is obvious. After drinking Puer Tea for more than ten years, I have found out that Puer tea do have some medical properties are able cure some common illnes like flu to reduction of clorestrol. 
Not too sure if my understandings are correct but would like anyone form this community to advise. and comments on these common beliefs
