From the brightest side of this star, I'll forget just who you are.
As you lie like lounge room lizards - If you speak then I know where you are
Went and saw Gyroscope last night. Fun night out. As I walked up there were queues of people outside already stamped, then a queue that winded round all of o'sheas inside just to get stamped. Hmm, I think people have finally decided to discover them. It was bloody insane! I've gotta say though, am thankful there were so many cos I forgot my id and by the time I got stamped they couldn't give a fuck how old you were.
Grand Fatal were supposed to be supporting alongside Angela's Dish but for some unknown reason they dropped out and so Brisk took their place. I've been wanting to see em for ages but now I have, I've realised I don't like "screamo". The music behind was good so I kinda blanked out Pete's screams. Angela's Dish, were very cute emo esque made for a better way to get into Gyro. They definitely have potential to be big on the Australian music scene but we'll see. [I like the name too :) ]
I'm no stranger to the Greenroom but they had actually put up a wire fence at the stage, never seen that before, twas weird. A wee bit unfriendly but as it would turn out, good cos the mosh went pretty crazy.
They came on the stage and the crowd went crazy. They went straight into "A slow dance" then mixed it up for the rest of the night with the old and new the heavy and the mellow.
I was kneeling on a stool the entire time. I've seen them before, but this time there was definitely a better connection with the audience. Ok. I've just realised that I've been talking about this for ages. I'll wrap it up... Fantastic music. Crazy crowd. Lotsa beer spillage. All of my friends jumping out of the car at my place, taking a piss behind all the bushes. Memorable night.
On a completely different note.
Got a message from Tim (my sub. bro at work) yesterday
saying that he got the job that he applied for, which means... I HAVE NO IDEA!
Most crazy of crazy- not the fact that he got another job cos he's a smart lad
but now there's gonna be nobody at work. Just plain weird.
