The trouble with inviting XI-verse Jim Kirk to live in your head is that he moves in with surprising ease and kind of assumes command like he's always been there.

You don't even have to invite him for him to act that way. Just ask akatonbo, I'm pretty sure she never actually invited him.

I didn't even mean to invite him, but Mith mentioned that she thought she might have a facility for Vulcan modes of interaction and I thought "yeah, I can probably do Kirk WAIT NO NOT LIKE THAT" and before I knew it, there he is in my metaphorical shower. Stealing my metaphorical towels.

I don't know! I think there's just something really pushy about the new cast. I have a feeling that Uhura and Bones are going to show up fairly soon in my head, and Chekov won't be that long after...
