Conventions
Going to Astronomicon in Rochester. I'm not terribly excited about it, as it will be small, and no authors excite me. But it is another attempt to make friends in fandom in WNY. I promised the kids I'd take them. They have been itching for a con also.
Maybe I should save up my OT money and try to go to DragonCon next year. There are also a few Toronto cons I'd like to check out. Top of the list is Polaris. I didn't make it this year because I waited too long to book a hotel room. The kids and I decided we like the con experience more when we can wander back to our hotel room at will.
I'd also like to check out a boardgame convention. Origins Game Fair or World Boardgaming Championships maybe. Too bad I can't afford it all!
