Getting Out of Lima [9/14]

This makes three times, Puck can't help but note. The night after the train station. Eight days later. And now just four days after that. Puck has the uncomfortable feeling that he's Kurt's new coping mechanism: get drunk with Puck and fuck him. He has the even more uncomfortable feeling that this is his own new coping mechanism, too: get drunk with Kurt and get fucked.

Kurt's still got a boyfriend, and Puck's tried hard not to be that guy lately, the one people cheat on their boyfriends with, but it's not like Kurt and Blaine are going to last long when Kurt leaves Ohio without a good-bye or a where he's going.

Well. In their drunken dispair, they wanted a place with plenty of pools, big enough for gigs and voice lessons and maybe dance, Kurt still insisted on a community college nearby, but the determining factor was Kurt wanting a place with a lot of performance opportunity. Daily. (I think he's read Outliers.)

It's a grueling two years between saying goodbye to Kurt as he moves off to OSADA in Columbus and when he invites Puck to his graduation. Two years of pool cleaning on the side while he works in Burt's garage, two years of saving up money and hoping that he's got the balls to give Kurt a good life, since he knows Kurt's going to struggle to find work throughout his entire career. Jobs are scarce for someone as unique as Kurt
