Puck/Kurt, Lit.Nerd!Puckklair716December 5 2011, 15:51:32 UTC
So, I've read plenty of stories where Puck is secretly good at math, but I am a nerdy English major and I want him to secretly be in love with books. I'd prefer older stuff, like Beowulf and The Old Arcadia and Chaucer(♥3♥), but anything at all would be fine. And bonus points if he nerds out about the smell and the feel and the make of books, too.
Long story, short: Puck is a literature nerd and Kurt finds out.
It's not as hard as he would have thought, to slip away on their last day in New York. Artie's the only one who asks where he's going, but a raised brow and a cocky smirk is all he needs to see an answering grin and a "Have fun, yo."
Fun is subjective, but yeah, Puck is planning on it as he steps out of the cold air into the warmth of the used book store. It's this tiny little place that goes up instead of spreads out, out of the way and unobtrusive in all the very best ways. It smells warm, like cinnamon and old paper, and it might not be the best smell ever, but it's pretty damned close, and Puck throws a nod at the guy behind the counter and starts to grin at the sheer number of books in front of him

His French isn't as good as he'd like it to be; Nana's been teaching him a little bit off and on, but she's not a native speaker either. Still, it's not like the novel is something he can easily find in Lima. It's calling for him, and Puck resists the urge for all of two seconds before he plucks the book off of the shelf and opens it up, bracing himself for not being able to understand a single thing

Let's start off the first prompt of Post 3 with some lovely angst. =D
When he saw the marks on Puck's body, Kurt expected the worse. Love bites on his chest that he didn't make. Bruises on his hips from hands that were too big to be his.
Puck was cheating on him.
He had to be sure. Asked and Puck didn't deny it. In fact, Puck didn't say much of anything. He just looked at the floor and said he was sorry.
Kurt had no idea that it was much worse than Puck cheating on him. Letting his mom's boyfriend do whatever he wanted to him was the only way he could keep Sarah safe.
The Summer after Puck gave up his kid was the hardest for him. Not only did he loose Beth, but Quinn stopped talking to him altogether, and his best friend wouldn't even look at him. Feeling lost and alone he stumbles upon the only other person in the entire town that still treats him like a person, the only other person who knows his secret.
You see Puck isn't like other kids. He can literally walk into the minds of other people. See their every thought, their every emotion, every memory. He can sift through them like an open photo book. The only reason Kurt knows this, is because he too has a power. Only Kurt's powers are a little different. Since he was a kid Kurt had been able to send thoughts into other peoples heads, he can sift through peoples minds and plant suggestions.
What I wanna see is these two bonding over their shared powers. Growing close first as friends than more. Bonus for one of them discovering that later on Beth has a power too.
Kurt and Puck are good friends. Kurt is secretly in love with Puck and he imagines all these 'scenes' between them (e.g. first date, meeting parents, sex). Puck feels the same way but for some reason[s] he doesn't tell him either (thinks he’s not good enough, etc. etc

But I'd (try to!) make it worth it!
...Does that fact that I love the idea of an abused Puck make me sadistic, or just an angst-lover??
