When Kurt and Puck started dating, they thought it would mean getting spend a good amount of time together alone. Kurt imagined the two of them hanging out in his room, spending long afternoons making out on his bed or on his couch or really anywhere they could possibly think of. They were in their honeymoon stage, where everything was a new discovery, and everything was bright and shiny and new.

But when they frequented the Hummel-Hudson residence, there was one common factor in their time together: Finn. It seemed that every time they were about to cuddle or kiss, the lanky teen would enter the room and wedge his way between them on the couch.

“Finn, what are you doing here?” Kurt asked, obviously annoyed.

“Uh, I live here,” Finn replied.

“Yes, I understand that. Does this mean you have to sit between me and my boyfriend every time you walk into a room?”

Puck seemed to catch on. “Dude, are you trying to cockblock me or something? Because like we’re not even doing anything like that yet.”

“Really?” Finn asked.

“Not that it’s any of your business, but Noah and I are taking things slowly. We’re both very serious about this,” Kurt told him, crossing his arms.

“Oh.” Finn stood up from the couch and turned to look at both of them. “Okay, but there’s one thing I gotta say.” He paused before looking over at Puck. “Puck, you’re my best friend even though you got my girlfriend pregnant that one time and then you kissed Rachel. But Kurt’s my stepbrother, and if you do anything to, you know, hurt him or something, I’m gonna have to beat you up or something.”

“Okay, that’s cool,” Puck replied.

“Cool,” Finn said, smiling.

Kurt sighed. “Is there anything else or do you want to watch Puck shove his tongue down my throat?” he asked.

It was the quickest way to get Finn out of the room.
