The Pingback Thingy

After a few tests, I got the same results as Helen, who posted about her extensive testing here. To sum up: if you use a f-locked post to link to another post, the LJ user whose post you linked to doesn't get a pingback. Phew!

I know some people said they got pingbacks from f-locked posts. It may be that the post linking to them was posted publicly first, and f-locked later.
