URGENT - Calling all MAC heads
OK, people, listen up. Tonight I am heading to the store to buy a MAC notebook. My PC laptop is in the midst of an accelerating death spiral and given what is going on I figure I have days at most to get my files off it before the hard drive fails completely.
So, I am getting a MacBook Pro. I want the 13 inch model (don't we all).
The thing is, I wonder about the value of the add ons. It comes standard with 4GB memory and 250GB drive, but you can upgrade from there.
I honestly don't know how much I need. I don't want to break the bank here, so cost is an issue, but given that I am run-of-the-hill joe schmoe user (iPhone, iTunes, web browsing, watching videos, etc.), and I am not doing video editing and/or complicated media stuff, what do I honestly need?
