rite, so basically the next 4 years of my life has been decided for me by a decision that my scaffy parents made 3 years ago when my sister went to uni, pretty much forced her to go to glasgow, even though the course in edinburgh was much better, but anyway basically i cant go to edinburgh uni cos she couldn't...blah blah "gotta be fair" pish! so

id get a student loan, but that would only be about £800, and costs well over £4000 for the year, so u can see the problem! :S

Whoa, I thought the Scottish school systems were all that good.. I got money from the Dutch governement (even with a lower degree education than Uni) to pay for my study and books etc... And I got a travel card, which allowed me to travel free with all forms of public transport throughout The Netherlands, which is absolutely cool! And I don't have to pay any money back!

Anyway, hoping that things are going to turn out a bit brighter than you think, good luck -x-

Awww, it is really unfair to all you guys having to go to uni these days. I know if I was 18 now, I wouldn't be able to afford uni either. I always remember my teacher telling me to move away to go to uni, otherwise you don't get the full experience. I suppose these days that's really no longer an option.
On the plus side, you won't be shirking paying back the student loans companies for the rest of your life, like I am.
