Hooray, Friday!

I really like my Fridays. Yeah, I have to work, but Fridays always hold so much more than smelly ol' Tuesdays, and not just cuz Saturday comes tomorrow.
I get to take my time waking up on Friday mornings, and spend some time with Karina & Tyler before leaving for the city. Sure, it isn't time enough to go catch a movie or anything... actually, sometimes we sit at home and watch a DVD together. That's good enough for me. :)
Then I catch the bus. I know what you're thinking, "You fucking moron, buses suck! You suck!!"
Well it's not so bad because I catch the bus outside of peek hour, and I don't have to sit amongst a bunch of little shits on their way to school. Teenagers on a bus is always a recipe for annoyance, to generalize unfairly. :P
I get to town with enough time to wander over and see Shannyn or Sooj in Northbridge for a quick hello, and then over to Organica for a coffee before the Friday lunch crowd stampede hits. Sometimes I head straight for work, drop off my bag, and go join Dad for lunch.
Now I'm at the shop, and if we're lucky, we've gotten this week's shipment in on time. If I'm early enough I can go through all the new stock out in the back while it's still being processed, and talk geek with the guys before I'm set to start work.
Then it's work work work and dealing with impatient customers up until 6:00. This is when we have the customers affectionately (I use the term loosely) known as the Friday Night Regulars; a mixture of geeks that range from friggin' annoying to familiar to awesome & entertaining, each for their own reasons. During this time we really just serve while continuing to bag books and put stuff away for subscribers.
9:00, and it's home time. I'll generally take my time closing the shop with the guys and then wandering down to the bus, because it takes awhile for me to get home. Fortunately I'm never really that tired by the time I finally get home, so I can chill out with Karina and watch whatever she's watching (most likely Firefly episodes on DVD).
This is why Fridays are so cool. :D

Yeah, this is all a bit long-winded, but I wanted to post a LiveJournal entry with some merit that, for once, didn't plug something. :D
