2nd Interview - Update
Me being me, I called the HR department at MoBap on Monday to make sure they got the message I had left on Friday about scheduling the 2nd interview. When I called, I got a voicemail that said "This Rachel with MO Baptist. I am no longer with the dept. Please call this instead..." GAH! So I called that number, finally spoke with the new person, and scheduled my interview for 1:30pm on Wednesday.
Fast forward to 1:00pm Wednesday. I arrived early (surprise!) and waited for a bit in my car before strolling into the HR office around 1:20. Not 30 seconds after walking in, the Director of Case Management (the woman I was supposed to meet) walked in.
"Katie? I've been expecting you!"
"Oh? I'm so sorry, I was under the impression we were meeting at 1:30..."
"Really? Huh, it said 1 on my calendar. Oh well."
*thud* I was SO embarassed. Even though this was totally not my fault (the HR lady gave me the options of 1:30 or 2 and I PICKED 1:30!), I still felt like "Great first impression. Ditz who cannot keep track of her interviews." Bah.
From there, the interview only had upwards to move. The director said repeatedly that she's very impressed with me and that she thinks I'd be an excellent fit. She added, though, that because I will need 3 weeks off for the wedding/honeymoon, she thinks that another position might work better for all involved time wise. Apparently she is anticipating another spot coming available in the next couple of weeks, and she said that if and when it does, she would like to hire me. (Couldn't give me anything concrete yesterday, though. Boo.)
So anyway, the job search continues, while I hope hope HOPE the position opens and they make me an offer. Unfortuntely, I cannot stop looking, seeing as this offer is nonexistent at the moment. I just want the search to be over and to fianlly have an idea of when I will be expected to start wherever I end up. I'm continuing at the CMHSR through May but do not want to return after the honeymoon, so here's hoping!
