Okay. Honestly, it wasn't as terrifying as I thought it would be. The day kinda started off weird, but it was much like any first day I've had from 7th grade and up.
Despite the fact that I should be a junior (11th), a slight mistake on my form and I am a sophmore (10th). My counselor noticed, but said she'd take care of it later. I have 7 classes this year: World History, Choir, English, P.E. (Aerobics), Math, World Geography, and JAG...I'll explain the last one later...
Anyways, since I was still getting my schedule, I missed my first class. And I got kinda lost, so I was late for Choir...not that I really missed anything. We didn't do anything...except sit. And watch the clock since the bell speaker in the room was broken. Mr. Foster seems nice. And, like me, music is a big part of his life...So I have a feeling I'd do pretty good in that class.
Then there was English. Mrs. Sloan merely had an introduction thing that let us know about her and what we would be doing...And Mondays are reading...nothing else. Just reading. Judging from her presentation thing, she's really active. Whitewater rafting, skydiving, diving. This was the first class were I actually started noticing the other people around me. Very loud people...but it doesn't bother me as much, especially since I can still understand the teacher. And there were a few cute-looking guys around.
Then there was P.E. We honestly also did nothing. Not a thing. After roll-call, the teacher went to a table by the doors to the gym and stayed there...we sat in the bleachers...
Then there was Math. Our teacher is pretty young too. He's 23. And he's pretty cool. And, like me, it's his first year at that high school.
Then after that is lunch. I have 3rd lunch, so the hallways are hell afterwards. It took me a bit to figure out exactly what was going on there, but I got it eventually. I had pepperoni pizza (school-made) and a red Gatorade. The pizza wasn't too bad, although downing the Gatorade that fast gave me brain-freeze...
Then off to World Geography. The teacher there is pretty cool. According to him, if we are pretty well-behaved, by next week, we won't have to use a seating chart. But he's one person I don't exactly want to break rules around. 10 push-ups or sit-ups is not a good thing for me...But he seems nice. He's a bit of a joker, too.
Then there is JAG. That stands for Jobs for America's Graduates. Mainly it's a career class. The teacher is also a newbie there. That was a class where we had to do a 'get to know each other' activity. I got paired up with a kid named Tyler. He's my age and he's been a lot more places than I have, including Japan, China, France, and Germany to name a few. And then we had to draw a picture of each other. And neither of us could draw...he drew a stick figure with glasses. I drew a pic that honestly looked like a second-grader drew it...But it was pretty cool.
Then there was something called Eagletime...It really was half an hour to read, work on stuff from another class, and other things like that...And then I went home...
All in all, it was pretty good for my first day in another school district...in another state. My mind says about halfway through the school year, I'm going to be counting days until summer again, but until then, I'm gonna enjoy school while I can. That's about it. Till the future becomes the recent past, see ya.
