So far I've thought about myself as an amateur conoisseur of all things hot and spicy, especially chilies. Yesterday, while surfing on the net, I've found things that have shocked my view on this profoundly.

First, I've found the Scoville scale - an official scale to determine the "heat" of chili peppers. An official scale, wow!
