Had a dream last night. Probably because I think Kaiya is a bit more... obsessed with Mr. Awesome than I am. LOL My friend T-- came over and when I asked Kaiya "Who's here??" she said "A"! She calls him "A" because she can't say "Awesome" LOL I mean, his name. Anyway, I said it wasn't A and she seemed kinda bummed but okay. So last night's dream took place in my living room. Derek came over to pick up Kaiya and Mr. Awesome was here sitting on the couch. Derek came in, I don't know why because I would go outside to him if anyone else was here just to alleviate awkwardness, and he squatted down to hug Kaiya. She was playing and I said "go to daddy" and she ran over to Mr. Awesome and hugged his legs and said "A Daddy, Daddy A" and was patting his knee. I felt totally embarassed, but wanted to cry for joy at the same time. I've NEVER called Mr. Awesome "Daddy" or "Dad" or any equivalent thereof in front of Kaiya. I've told people he'd make a great father figure TO her, but never said that around her because I don't want to confuse her this early on in her life. She did that all on her own (in my dream). But I could see Derek's heart breaking... it's his own fault if it ever happens, but I want to avoid it happening until she UNDERSTANDS the difference between step-dad and real dad. She can call Mr. Awesome whatever she wants, as long as she DOES realize he ISN'T her father, no matter how much better he might be toward her. So yeah... then when she got up this morning she went into my room and kept calling my bed "A's bed"... Just coz he lays in there while she's getting a bath, doesn't make MY bed HIS bed!! LOL But anyway. Got lots of stuff to do, wanted to write that out so I wouldn't forget. Maybe one day my dream will come true and Mr. Awesome can be the father figure Kaiya needs in her life. He's really wonderful with her and she adores him. I couldn't be more proud and happy. :) Ciao.
