This is ESPECIALLY impressive since I spent basically all day yesterday trying to drown myself in taffeta and tulle shopping for wedding dresses with my mother and mother-in-law. AND Cameron's mother survived her first Meeting With My Mother's Family, at Mecklenberg Gardens with my mom's cousin Steve's band,
The Bierband. EL OH EL. The band was SO much fun. (Check out their
YouTube channel! Hahaha.)
Fake-parenting is still going well, and bonding with Cameron's mom on the drives to and from Cincinnati (not to mention in the FIVE dress shops we hit and the fact that she's seen me both in wedding dresses and naked now) was pretty great.
School remains crazy (is anyone surprised?). The trimester's almost over. I'm really excited about going to France over spring braek with the French club (woooo!) at the end of March. I should be grading right now, but instead I'm watching Project Runway while wearing Cameron's IU hoodie that smells like him, because I'm sort of pathetic, apparently, and miss him like a crazy person after like 24 hours apart--he and his dad flew to New York to surprise Kara by attending her presentation at MoMA. Uh. Yup.
So, before Cameron gets back, I've gotten a few things done, but mostly I just miss him. BECAUSE I AM LAME. In the meantime, I'm going to finish reading Emma, fantasize about kidnapping Tim Gunn to be my mentor, and maybe even actually grade some papers!!!
