(no subject)
So last week was hectic and fun all at the same time. On Tuesday, I went down to St. Louis to spend the day with my sister. She worked until 11, then we went to one of the neighborhoods and watched the parade with some of her friends. Then we spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out and drinking and playing games.
On Wednesday, I had an interview at a school district down by St. Louis (on the Illinois side of the river, though). They said they would call either today or tomorrow if they want me to come back for a second interview, and I still haven't heard from them yet, so I'm still hoping, but probably won't get called. So in the mean time, I found more local places where openings have come about, so I'm applying for those positions. The problem is I've applied to so many that do and do not have openings, that I'm running out of places to apply to, so now I just have to wait and see if there are any more to apply to and wait to be called for an interview.
The other fun part of the week was on Friday. I subbed for the teacher I worked with during student teaching, so I got to see all of my old students again, which made me happy. It's very deja vu, and it made me realize how much I've missed them! I never thought I would, but I've grown attached to them. What makes it worse is how excited some of them get when I'm there, it makes me wish I could have taught the whole year and not just a semester. *crying twin waterfalls*
