A bit sorrowful cuz I had to leave ppl I love back in NY. The past few days before I left today were great. I finished housesitting for my aunt and uncle this past monday. Even though I got sick from the weekend of New Years, luckily it wasn't like last year where dave and I got blitzed with the stomach virus, we just had some really bad cold and respitory infection. Nothing like a bottle of robitussin and 1000mg of tylenol can cure it all. Tuesday hung out with dave for a bit and went shopping at Steve and Barry's. Bought a couple of pairs of shoes and some jeans cuz I split the seat of my favorite ones at school. I dont really remember much after that but the next day dave and I drove out to Utica early morning to fill out and drop some applications to Utica and IT.
When we got to IT, we dropped some stuff off in his room and said hi to his friend Lauren real quick. Then went over to admissions office to fill out the transfer applications. When I got to the door of the office I almost made a last minute hesitation and turned around. But dave was right behind me and I went in. I got an application and then they set up an interview with me. While I waited I looked through the catalog and then one of the admissions officers came out and I went in and had my interview. I didn't even expect to have one either.
The interview went great! All my credits transfer and the way how it would be set up if I went to IT, if I get started on getting in two summers of simple general ed course just to get out the way, I would focus on my main courses for my major(s) and graduate in spring 08. Spring of 08! If I stayed at Limestone I would be graduating in fall of 08 or spring of 09. At IT I'd double major in Health Information Management and Health Services Management. So it's looking like a good 99% chance of me transferring to IT. All I have to do now is just send my official transcripts from Limestone to IT and I'll get my acceptance letter.
I was so excited about the news of what would happen to me at IT, that I decided to not even bother driving to UC and dropping off my application. Comparitively I'd spend more time trying to get my prerequecs done at UC before I can even get started at the PT program. So after the interview I told dave everything that had happened during the interview and drove straight home.
Picked up mom, dropped off dave at his house and then drove out to visit nana and told my mom the good news. She was amazingly supportive about me transferring to IT and gave it the okay to go. When we got to the nursing home, I told nana about it and she gave it the okay too. The three of us watched the foodnetwork and talked about my school, mom's wedding in two weeks and other stuff. It was classic three generations of mother daughter bonding moment. Then after that mom and I went to grocery store to get stuff to make dinner and we cooked seafood pasta for me, jon, atie and dave and had an awesome last home cooked meal for me and dave til the end of the school year.
Thursday me and dave hung out and had lots of fun all day and had dinner with his dad and sylvia at Ruby Tuesday. Then visited auntie jojo and uncle paul and my cuzins and then back to my house and hung out with big sis and dave for the rest of the night.
Today dave came over to pick me up, went to mom's work and said goodbye to her one more time before I had to leave. Then staright to airport. Had lots of emo tears before I went to the security line. The flight back to SC was smooth, no delays or mess ups with luggage. The only thing is that my ears are aching from the elevation which will take a couple of days to heal.
I miss my boo back at home. I got a lot of compliments on the new do and the ring on my finger. =) So happy! Now I have this semester of crazyness in lacrosse and athletic training and res life as well. Oh yeah SGA too. I'm just going give it my all physically and mentally cuz this could very well be my last semester here at Limestone.
