Doctor Who 212 - Army of Ghosts Review
Aired first of 1st July 2006, BBC1
First off it's was definatley amazing how they started off the episode.. who would have thought they'd blantently start off with billie's statement but I guess with the news of her leaving it didn't have to hide it or anything.
I guess now we know the old friend was the daleks (alhtough I think we could work it out from the Tardisode), and not Jack Harkness (confirmed by the actor that he will not be in the finale episodes). I was glad to see Mickey again.. and definately grown to love him, not this do-nothing guy we first saw but a hardened soilder with a soft spot still for Rose. Cybermen and Daleks together will definmately be great, each figthing out for supreme control of earth. And it'll just be sad but fitting that the Doctor loses another companion to the Cybermen, so I'm rooting for Rose been killed by the Cybermen.
I loved the little Ghost-busters scene and how the Doctor played it too! David Tennent somehow makes the Doctor just a bit geeky but somehow so very cool, not to mention making paper 3-D glasses so wearable... A little nod to the 3-D adventure run for the Children in Need back during the 7th doctor's day perhaps?
Oh and Torchwood, I didn't realize that it was an anagram for Doctor Who until I saw the Confidential. Definatley looking forward to Doomsday.
Score: 4/5
