....In Between Dishes........
Well, I'm right in the middle of making Onion Soup and Split Pea, so I thought I would do a quick update. Sunday we went and seen Disney on Ice at the Palace; the kids wanted to see it and we got our State check back so we wanted to have a family day out. It was good, everyone enjoyed themselves; a little more then others, but you get the picture. Before we went to the show we walked around Great Lakes Crossing. No matter how many times we go there, we never seem to buy anything (unless it is for the kids - coloring book and a Wilbur Beanie Baby). Kinda like 12 Oaks, no matter how many times we go there and walk around, we don't buy anything. We spend more money at independant stores like Target, Meijer, Sears (tools, tool boxes), and Home Depot then these malls that you can get everything under one roof. I did go into the kitchen store and seen a bunch of things that would've bankrupted us, but it was a day for the kids, so as odd as this may sound, I didn't buy a damn thing. . I'm trying soups to put on my menu for something warm and basically calorie free for the next couple of days while we are in a cold spell. (4 degrees this morning). One is for my dad - Split Pea with Ham (No alcohol) and then there is one for me and my mom - Onion Soup made with Red Wine and Dark Becks Beer. So far so good, we'll see!!.....(Wait, I'm listening to that now!!!)
