Getting super excited about Animé North. Looks like there are going to be tons of really cool cosplays (homg, so many Pokémon characters!), activities look fun, and Sam and I are vaguely considering running panels again.

Oh, and the list of Cosplay Chess characters is up. See if you can find me. X3

Sam, Jana and I shall be staying in a room together at the Doubletree Hotel from Friday to Sunday (though we're still looking for a fourth roommate to split the payment with :S), and we're really getting pumped! Sam and I have already started with a supply list, primarily including food (apparently there aren't many places to eat around the Toronto Congress Center, and while there are places at the hotel we do want to save money on food). Can't say I'm big on Jana bringing her Wii or a ton of junk food (XD as fun as that might be), but if she wants to pack all that extra stuff, well, that's her decision.

Past week's been all right, minus the whole going to bed super late every night due to putting off doing homework until 1am because I'm great like that thing. Consequently haven't been functioning at my best, though I've been doing pretty well on my tests.

Oh, and everyone who did the homework for my Medical Ethics class got accused of plagiarism. I don't think any of them are actually guilty, though, and luckily, for the first time in that class, I hadn't actually done the homework that day. o_o A letter was sent to the Dean and everything, jeez.

On Saturday Sam and Eric went to Jana's for Left 4 Dead, and it took a few hours of conversing to finally arrange to see Watchmen with the guys. I wasn't too keen - Ryan just needed to see it since they're reading the graphic novel in class - and you figure, you know, this is supposed to be one of the most epic movies of nerddom, so you might as well, but eh, never knew anything about the series so never really cared. I was more interested in seeing Push (yay for people with psychic powers! And making ears bleed, which makes sense).

Well, with my sister and Kallos, we headed to the theatre to meet up with Ryan and Geordie, and lulz, I didn't run across the transfer platform fast enough, so the subway doors closed RIGHT in my face, and Kallos and Becky are banging on the doors from the inside and I'm banging from the outside, all laughing hyseritcally, and I'm scratching at the window as the train pulls away and it was just XDDDD. When we got to the theatre I saw Shawn and his friends from the Chinese restaurant in line, and he's so silleh ("GIVE ME A KISS!" "OKAY!?!") and Watchmen was sold out so we saw Push. XD It was okay, not exceptional, I liked their powers, and Dacota Fanning looks exactly like Rifky. I PUSHED IT INTO YOUR MIND hahaha. :P

We watched The Forbidden Planet in Cinema class Monday. It was some srsly epic lulz. Robby the Robot needed some action, though.

Worked for the student union at the polling booth for elections Wednesdasy, and YAY BRITISH!CARL IS THE NEW UNION PRESIDENT, AWESOME! Skipped two classes that day, which is really unlike me. John was taking a vow of silence, and I went with Kallos to the 'Square for lunch again (must get cream of mushroom soup from Subway, mmm). Still have only ever had lunch there with three people, haha.

Also, o_____o plagiarism! For Medical Ethics, we have to read an article and answer questions on it for homework most classes. I've done it every time except this one because I didn't understand the article, so I handed nothing in.
Turned out I was lucky I hadn't because everyone who did got accused of plagiarism! A letter's been sent to the Dean and everything. ._. *knows a lot of people in that class and is sure they're innocent*

In the middle of the week, I remembered that Rip: a Remix Manifesto would only be playing until Friday (unless ticket sales were really good), and the Friday show was sold out. Thus e-mails were sent and Sam, Geordie, John and I stayed after school on Wednesday to sit in a theatre with only about six other people to watch the documentary Tom had gone on about months ago. It was pretty well-done, and interesting, but it really skipped over some great points it could have made and was sort of narrow in what it aimed to cover. It seemed more about Girl Talk, an "artist" who remixes and mashes songs together, than anything else, and didn't really create a proposal on how to solve the problem of how anyone who "remixes" or illegally downloads is labelled a criminal. Still, it was an interesting experience, decent movie, and I don't regret going.

Because singing Living on a Prayer really loudly downtown as we headed to the theatre was just that awesome. John used to break into song a lot more than he does now, but it's still kick-ass when he does. <3

Caught Eddie fromk high school on the bus Thursday, which was interesting. He's the head of drama staff at camp this summer, which was surprising and pretty neat. I gave whatever advice I could think of, and XD Eddie now knows how much of a terribly dirty person I am now. Ride was fairly long thanks to traffic, too. XD

Todd Babiak, an interesting-sounding Canadian author came to our Integrating Activity class Friday to just talk and read from his in-progress book, which was really neat. He seemed like a fairly fascinating guy, and I have to read The Book of Stanley at some point.

Was supposed to go to the Ladies' and Gents' Night that evening, but tickets were sold out. ;; WANTED TO SEE EVERYONE IN DRESSES DISSAPOINTED.

Tonight is Becky's Sweet Sixteen, and we're heading to an Italian place. Would have liked to do Japanese, but the place where I had mine where they cooked and made a whole show in front of you closed. Braaah more dissapointed.

EDIT: Went to the party, was pretty fun. Got to chat with a ton of people from high school play who I never get to see anymore, and we were all very loud and happy. It was about fourteen girls, Mikey, Kallos and Spar- I mean John, haha. She got some interesting gifts, too, like a book of insults, Oreos, and a Tribble/Pigmepuff. XD I don't think that restaurant will ever host another party.

That night I woke up at 6am with a charliehorse, yay! It wasn;t as bad as it has been in the past, and I'm fairly sure it was partically induced by wearing my wonderful high-heeled black boots.

School's off for this week for "study break." We'll be using the time, ah, productively (though I do have a nice big incest essay to work on). Had hoped to keep it just Sam and I for another week, but now it's a nice big group of people, which should make it interesting. Also Amber. Because YES I WANT BYORN. XD

lulz, we really need to organize that shit. XD
