Update
As with any journal, I forget to update for a long time. Considering the absolute major scare with my computer last night, I thought maybe I should get around to do some backing up. My computer is not exactly stable when it comes to internet, but I did not even suspect that when I turned on bitcomet last night that it would it totally screw up my computer. It froze the comp and it wouldn't even let it start up! Couldn't get it to the welcome screen because it messed with my brand new wireless card.
Thankfully, we managed to get it to work again, but what scared me the most is that one time when starting up I got an error message that it couldn't load my secondary harddrive, which is an older 120 gig. The major problem is that on one of those partitions is where I have ALL my manga: xxxholic, School Rumble, Legal Drug, Bleach, It Started With A Kiss, Kira Kira Labrynth, and an overwhelming bundle of six gigs worth of yaoi that rusalkaz has been sending me. I was so not about to lose all that, so currently, I'm backing up that folder. I have so much manga...that manga is not even including the stuff I've burned to dvd that I don't often read.
So I'm somewhat annoyed about the whole thing. My mom is going to give me an early birthday present: a 250 gig SATA HD, so that's mediated a little. But I really wish I could get this damn thing to be stable when it comes to internet. Getting in a LAN line just isn't happening, which is the only thing that would rid me of any wireless card problems. I'm also waiting for my new sound card: CHAINTECH AV-710 7.1 Channels 24-bit 192KHz PCI Interface. It's supposed to be really good, and it's only for $25, considering my Audigy 2 ZS that I have now that cost nearly, if not over, $100. The only one better than this CHAINTECH card (not including anything Creative) is an M Audio card, which is what my Mom has when Creative pissed her off so bad that she uses the name as a curse in my house.
