Much less grumpy about the meeting. It was actually sort of nice. Got the lowdown on where the company is headed, and our department as well. Sounds like lots and lots of changes coming up, but they all sound pretty good, so I'm very optimistic about the future. This is a big deal, because since my new boss came on board, I have been very apprehensive about everything; the company, the department, my position. I've got a much better vibe after today, and the last week or two in general.
I was also presented a very nice 1.5L bottle of wine and 2 glasses with the company logo and some blurb about 10 years of service engraved on it.
Shad and Desi invited us to dinner tonight, so I think I'll bring the bottle along and pay the corkage and enjoy it with them. Why not.
My co-worker Shannon is going to Ausiello's (a local bar, good for sports, lots of TVs) to watch the game on Sunday with some of her girlfriends, and she invited Vince and me along, so that's our new plan for Sunday.
Right now it's about quittin' time.
