I HATE feeling like the worst mom in the world. I see other moms and wonder how in the heck they do it? How can they have a perfect make up and hair? how can their kid stay sited in the shopping cart while mine is throwing a tantrum because he wants to walk. How do they make everything so darn perfect and I am struggling just to get up every day

Seriously though. I don't know much about toddlers..but I'll try to help you as much as I can. Maybe you could try being firm with Matt? As for Harry..I really don't know WHY he's consulting with his mom on how to discipline Matt - he should be talking with you on the best way to work this out..you two are Matt's parents. His mom can help guide you guys..but in the end, you and Harry have the final say. You make the final decision. Your mother-in-law doesn't (and she shouldn't).
Maybe you could try sitting down with Harry and telling him that you want a say in all this? That you just want to talk to him and share everything with him? You deserve to be heard, and Harry has to understand that.
That's just my opinion though. You can take it or leave it. :)
♥ I'm really sorry you have to deal with this. I hope things get better for you, hon.

And I think I do an OK job with Matt or at least that what people who have been around Matt keeps telling me, but it is just his tantrums. Not the fact that he makes tantrums, for a boy he does little tantrums...is the tantrum itself.
He throws himself back landing on his head, we have tried stopping him but it is gotten to the point where we are unsure what to do that will work...he can hurt himself. Actually Harry took video of one of his tantrums I might upload it so I can get some feedback. I am open to every suggestion.
