Flare is slowly dying down - body not as sore, and joints starting to be less swollen.  Migraine type headache.  Icing my knee, because simply walking/bending down to do things like pick up a sock I dropped makes it hurt incredibly - don't want to deal with it, so I'm going with the RICE method before I add more doctors visits.  Stealing one of ( Read more... )

Heating system fixed.  $200 to fix and clean the burner for the winter.  At least it's done.

Knee (mine) popped/jumped/whatever going up and down stairs yesterday - can walk totally fine, can manipulate it, but CANNOT go up stairs.  WTF.

Flare.  Mouth sores, exhaustion, fog, pain.  Enough.  It's 1pm and I'm trying to not go back to bed. 

Kelsey saw her surgeon yesterday - he took xrays, and said that she dislocated it again, but that it's actually back in place more centered than her GOOD kneecap, so in a strange way this was beneficial.  He said that there is no reason to think the last surgery has failed, and that she needs to strengthen her quads more - she got a little lecture ( Read more... )

The past 2 days have been crazy at work-yesterday I was literally in a meeting from 8:30-6pm, which is to be repeated today and tomorrow, with a break for a company meeting.  I have never been in a company that is so professional yet "small company" at the same time-people are THERE for meetings, not just in the room, but paying attention, ignoring ( Read more... )

Helped friend out today, gave a ride to the hospital for surgery to get rid of a cyst on a gland in her abdomen. Home to try to get some work done, and the world is falling apart there - my other friend is the only one in and she's standing there shouting for help and no one is getting back to her.
