Tyler is coming home tomorrow, and staying through Tuesday - classes restart Weds. I'm excited to have him around again for a bit, especially as I'm otherwise totally on my own this weekend. Kelsey called and said she wasn't coming home, because she wanted to hang with friends, but when I mentioned she could pick up hours on Monday with me, she changed her plans. Yay money!!
LONG day today, and it included learning that someone who I am interviewing for my last open position got another offer today, and asked if I could make a decision by tomorrow as they needed to get back to that other job - but that my position was their first choice. Talked to the recruiter, and was very flattered - apparently my team and myself made a huge impression on this person, and they want very badly to join the team - lots of very nice things were said. In addition, during the interview, this person shared what my own boss was saying about me in terms of working for me/with me...let's just say I feel very good about my job, and about myself when it comes to my job. It's a very good feeling.
The wedding last weekend was fun - much more so than I thought it would be. Beautiful setting, didn't go too late, and I didn't feel hung over the next day - BONUS! However, I did decide that NEITHER child is ever allowed to get married, because just watching this bride, who isn't that much older than Kelsey, walk down the "aisle" (outside wedding, so really we just watched her walk from the barn down to where the guys were waiting) was torture. I was SOBBING. And don't even get me started on the Daddy/Daughter dance - although there honestly wasn't a dry eye on that one, so I wasn't such a freak.
I have 1 more episode of Dr. Who before I'm caught up to this season - then only 3 more and I'm current and have to wait a week between episodes. Much sadness. Good thing Walking Dead and Game of Thrones are pending, and Homeland has already started. And I guess I could watch Torchwood - and SO MANY PEOPLE are telling me I need to watch Dexter, so I guess I'll survive. =P
I love fall. I love the warm in the day and cold at night. I love the colors and crispness. I love being able to have a fire going, and I even love the rainy days. <3
