Still flaring
it's a bit better tho. Although I totally screwed my back with the damn lawnmower on Saturday, and I can't look over my right shoulder, or move funny without it wanting to seize up and hurt. Definitely foggy, but feel a bit better with that today - yesterday I sounded like a total moron, I couldn't think of any words.
Busy weekend. Saturday was very painful, but I felt accomplished, I got a lot done - and I had Ty drive me to and from the mall because I needed stuff at Target, and we stopped and got sushi, which was pretty cool. I colored my hair again, "Dark Auburn", to color those pesky greys that keep popping up - *I* thought it was very apparent, but no one, with the exception of one person yesterday who I haven't seen in like a year, has said anything so maybe not. I like it though. =)
Sunday took Klara to Hampton Beach because she wanted to "go to the beach" - lucky we left a little early, by 10am, because as we left around 2 the traffic was simply stupid. The ocean was freezing, but she and I walked in it a lot, and she collected shells and sand to take home (wonder if they'll let her?). Got ice cream, and had a small bbq in the late afternoon, then Kelsey invited some friends over and they watched movies and played DDR in the basement. Back was SO FREAKING BAD - I literally found a pain pill from my surgery, and took one to try to help me sleep through the nite. It did help.
Yesterday was more of a taxi type of day - the plan was Canobie Lake, but honestly I had no interest in going - Kelsey was going to have several friends come along, and then Ty wanted lots of friends too, so there wasnt enough room for just Kelsey to drive. Lucky Ty and his pals got bored fast - dropped them off, then swung over to my brother's house for a Memorial Day BBQ with my cousins from Holland (who leave today) and a bunch of Eric's friends we've known since high school (including a former classmate of mine, who was the one who noticed my hair looked different). Hung there for a few hours, got Ty and pals, and was home early - didn't need dinner, so read a LOT (Dude - totally need the next book in the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series!!!) and basically hung out and watched stupid TV (Go go Pawn Stars).
Weird that today is Tuesday. This week should go by fast - next week I'm traveling to Chicago Monday night through Thursday night for Internet Retailer 2010, with 2 coworkers, so that should be fun...although I am very sad I won't be here for the end of the German Exchange visit. Klara is a very very nice girl, and we talked a lot this weekend - she even friended me on FB and connected me with her dad on Facebook as well. =) She'll be missed.
First day of a new month...reports reports reports. Gotta get to the drs with the kids this afternoon, both have their annual physicals today and both are annoyed at me that I scheduled them because they're "awkward". Umm...sorry! LOL!
