Ugh. Cranium of massive pain and suffering... And it's my own bloody fault. I forgot to take my Effexor yesterday so today I get to pay for it with the dull, nausea-inducing headache of withdrawal. Yes, that quickly, the level in my bloodstream has caught on to the fact that it didn't receive its daily fix yesterday and is now rioting against me. Have also had at least 2 hot flashes today. I really hope they're over by summertime. If they're this bad in the winter/spring, I don't even want to think about how horrific they'd be when the mercury soars.
Ha ha. C. sent me this this morning. I love it! Maybe that's what I need; my own personal press release...
http://www.greghoward.net/index.php/weblog/test_screening/ Anyway, let's see... Most proud of myself! Delivered my secret Easter Bunny packages to the post office yesterday a whole day before the deadline! Sounds silly, I guess, but that's really quite an accomplishment for me.
Tackled the girls' room last night with a zeal I didn't know I possessed for cleaning. Dove under beds, pulled out toys and clothes and slippers and other sundry little girl things. Dusted a bit. Swept the floor. Washed bed linens and remade the beds. Well, except for one, but I'll do that when I return from my daily taxi route.
Have I mentioned yet that my brain hurts?
Watched "Elizabethtown" with Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst yesterday. A bit uneven, but I liked the overall message of the movie and the way it unfolded. Very sweet. I don't know why, but Orlando Bloom reminds me of P. Something about the way he smiles.
G. is going for her first sonogram today! =) Can't wait to talk to her this afternoon/evening and find out if she's having a boy or a girl. When I have a job again, I'll be able to do major baby shopping! Between C. and G., the babies just keep on coming... :p
Excellent! The Mama is pleased. C. is going to make me some new CDs today. I love my Iio but I've been listening to it for the last 2 mos. in the car, and I need something new. I miss my Tori discography--except for The Beekeeper, it's all MIA. Probably packed in boxes in the garage or up north. Also think I'm going to start perusing eBay for the God remix I had years ago--the Dharma Kaya mix. Has a 10-minute long version on it which I just love, and haven't seen in years. It's a British import here, so perhaps I can find it online somewhere.
I really hope it doesn't rain tomorrow. We'd wanted to take the girls down to the Mall for the kite festival--the Cherry Blossom festivities kick off today or tomorrow, and the kite festival sounds really fun. Am trying to have a TV-free weekend with them, but if the weather doesn't cooperate, that may be more difficult than I'd hoped.
I'm so silly. I keep hoping that the eye dr. will call to say that my spectacles are ready, but I'm sure it won't be until the middle of or late next week. But I want them NOW... ::::whine::::
Huh. I really need better speakers for my computer. I know, I konw, that's so far down on the list of things I need/want, but this is such a great song and it just doesn't sound right. Oh well. What does one want for free speakers, right?
Blah. I wish mate and I were camping again. That was my first thought when I woke up this morning. A whole week of NOTHING to do but whatever we wanted. Waking up and snuggling together to get warm and then falling back asleep until 10 or 11, then getting up and making a campfire to eat breakfast. Watching mate creep behind the tree so he could spy on our neighbor to figure out how he was making his campfire so much bigger. lol
Certainly better than pondering today's itinerary: back to preschool, then up north to get M., then we pick L. up, then we go to Westminster for M., then drop him home, then back to the dr. for L., then off to see C. and C. for lunch this afternoon, then home again. My poor car. It direly needs an earl change and a car wash. Can't wait until probate is over and I can get a new one that will actually accomodate everyone comfortably. Had my eye on a Volvo 850 this morning. I can't help it; I think they're stylish *and* mommyish. *sigh* It's official. I'm old. I want a Volvo. If anyone wants me, I'll be sobbing quietly in the corner.
Ahhhh. Hot flash #3 for the morning. Why won't they leave me alone?! Why aren't they OVER yet?!????
LOLOL C. just sent me a link to "pirate print" PJs:
http://www.babystyle.com/common/dProductDetail.asp?PMId=19250&SIND=1&cmCL=estyleoutlet&frm=2 Sorry, dear; I don't think they come in your size. ;)
OMG I want to eat the earth today! I'm starvational.
Ok, I guess it's time to go be productive. There's a mountain of laundry in the basement that could really use my attention. Feh. Why don't *I* have a personal assistant?!
