I'm giving up Santorum for Lent...

Rick Santorum actually said he was pro-science and it is the Democrats who are anti science. Anti-government neo-cons know that Santorum would mean MORE government in the wrong places, and so there will be more glorious in-party fighting. Newt Gingrich prided himself on how cheap gasoline was when he was speaker of the house, compared to the price today, and simply ignored that the majority of that time in between was held by a Republican Senate and President. Meanwhile, oil/gas drilling in America has increased several times during the Obama presidency, proving that the "drill here/drill now" catchphrase fails to lower energy prices worldwide. White supremacists in Duluth Minnesota are protesting an anti-racism campaign in that city -- because they say it is unfair to be accused of racism "just because you're white". I would not want to be in Canadian Public Safety Minister, Vic Toews' shoes for all the money in the world right now; but I suppose he deserves what's coming to him. Two more reporters were killed in Syria; and I'm a little dumbfounded to think why Assad believes the random yet constant shelling of a city will solve anything. Obama will close corporate tax loopholes while dropping the rate to 28%; call this a tax increase since most businesses used those loopholes to pay nothing and complain about taxes being too high. Violence in South Sudan scattered the staff of two Doctors Without Borders clinics, the staff are reported as missing; that's something I'd support a full US military retaliation on.
