The week is finally done.
Talking to a room full of eleven year olds about proper funeral behavior for the death of an eleven year old is something I don't ever want to do again.
In April:
Ryan's brother's condition has worsened to the point that he almost always needs a wheelchair and fluid has to be drained from his abdomen every few hours.
Amy called and said her grandmother died a few weeks ago and didn't tell me because she knew I was having a rough few weeks.
Sherri's mother died.
My student died.
Sonya had to rush to the hospital because a friend of hers had a stillborn and Sonya was the only one there when they did the surgery so she was in the room. She was going to be the godmother, but the baby was two months early. She got to hold it, and helped mom. She called me in tears.
My LJ friends have had deaths in the family.
I can't handle another month like this. Everyone needs to stop dying. At least for a while. I need a respite.
It's a beautiful day...the sun is shining...R is sleeping in a bit longer...and I have a lot to be happy about.
