it's been a while...
ah, livejournal. how i've missed you. too bad i no longer have internet at my house or a job where i finish all my work and can procrastinate at work... i mean, i like my job, but i feel like it's all i can do every day to get my work done. it just keeps coming! which just speaks to the fact that there are a lot of people who are homeless and need help with a lot of things. welcome to the life of a social worker, even though i am not a real social worker, this must be what it's like.
anyway, being home has been pretty nice so far, got to kick it at Jenni's wine and cookie making party and listen to vulgar rugby songs from her St. Mary's rugby peeps. i swear, it's a theme, i know tons of people from high school who went to school someplace in MD and got into rugby. it must be the cool thing to do in Maryland, just like say... being in a sorority is the cool thing to do in North Carolina. although both can be violent activities, rugby is probably more fun.
but Jenni's party was fun times, and also included appearances from such high school peeps as Carrie Selmer and "that crazy Nicola," as Kelly sometimes refers to her. Also, my sister and Cree Menefee randomly showed up, which was also excellent, especially when Cree knocked over Jenni's cat's food.
umm... yes. also got to kick it with Kelly and the Kelly family and get an awesome QUAIL SHIRT! and watched a lot of Tommy Boy Holy Schnikes edition and Me, You, and Everyone We Know. Which everyone should watch because it is amazing. then we went to On the Border with the Mel Mel and I found out that I am no longer McSkillz, i am McSkittles. this nickname has been evolving since sophomore year of high school... starting with Mad Skills McGill, then McSkills, then McSkillz (note the spelling change... it's important because it's on my Glenelg Basketball fleece headband spelled that way.) so now apparently i am McSkittles. ah.
also, i am bored, so instead of writing a clever fictional story like Matt English, i will do something with minimal mental exertion:

usually it has less to do with my appearance and more to do with the fact that it is damn cold in my house

Lest ye fall on your ass and i laugh. there is some song that we sing in church that also uses lest ye do something... i'm pretty sure it doesn't use the word ass, though.

earth is aiight, i always used to like Saturn cause of the rings. or Pluto cause it sounds cool. or Uranus cause it's funny to say in middle school. or now.

umm... payless. pretty much all my shoes are from payless. that's why they have holes and the snow goes through them. i have a pair of new balance shoes also.

umm... probably the one in ellicott city. in denver, there is probably one on Colfax or Colorado.

word and/or palabra. also i add -tastic as a suffix to things frequently.
