Here is a quick answer to the protestant idea that the sole rule of faith for a Christian is the Bible. This teaching is called sola-scriptura  (The Bible alone). This teaching says that everything a Christian needs for salvation is found in the Bible and only the Bible. It really is simple. Abortion is not a morally or scientifically complex issue. The issue is made unnecessarily complex by a society that is steeped in moral relativism.  We also see what seems to be an indifference towards logic and critical thinking when dealing with issues of morality or religion.

I don't think so. It's an interesting story that makes for good movie scripts and book series but the rapture is not supported by any solid biblical exegesis or authentic Christian teaching. In other words, it's a made up theology based on a twisting of sacred scripture.

This might be interesting. They really should add Dr. Peter Kreeft and Dr. William Lane Craig to the lineup.
