[One For All] In the library, or elsewhere

Jun 24, 2009 14:02

Nikola's library, of course, is much more impressive than Helen's, but she does have one or two extremely interesting texts, and he's certainly not above making use of them while he's here. So you might find him sprawled across a couch in the corner, feet up, flipping idly through a very large book.

(ooc: Whatever's most comfortable for you. Lots of different styles out there and many people here who have never played before anyways. We'll eventually settle into something that works for everyone :))

*Will is walking back to his car after visiting a local mental hospital to make sure the "delusional" patient wasn't actually an abnormal. Wasted his whole afternoon determining that the guy was truly bonkers and is so irritated by that fact that he's walked a good thirty or forty past Tesla before what he sees really registers. Then he just has to go back.*

The pigeon thing is actually true?

Nikola saw him pass, of course, but chose not to say anything. He glances up at Will quickly, then back to the birds.

"Of course. There's documented evidence of it after all," he adds with a smirk, knowing full well much of the documented evidence of his activities is fake.

Will laughs and shakes his head. "I'd assumed it was just one more mind-fuck against the rest of the world," he explains, sitting down. "You know, the whole 'I'm afraid of germs, yet I love winged rats who shit everywhere' thing."

He sucks his thumb-pad thoughtfully for a moment. "Nikola Tesla, lover of small animals. God, that's surreal..."

"Actually," Nikola points out, "pigeons carry about fifty times as many germs as rats, but that's hardly something I need to worry about."

He coos a little to the pigeon nearest him, holding some crumbs in his hand, coaxing the bird closer. Possibly this adds to the surreality.

[ooc; I'm up for the other way or third person. :D]

Helen stands in the doorway and watches him. Only the dire circumstances that they had allowed her to give him access to what was within the walls of the Sanctuary. Especially after the stunt he pulled.

Thankfully the word hadn't left that he was here. Otherwise she knew that she would have John at her doorstep as well.

"Enjoying yourself, Nikola?"

The smile he gives her is as close to genuine as any of his smiles get anymore. "Of course, I am, Helen," he says, looking up at her. "I've wanted to get my hands on this text for years."

If nothing else, his visit will be worthwhile for Helen's collection of genetics research.

"And the reason why you couldn't was because I had it."

She briskly walks over and snatches the texts from his hands. There was no way she was going to let him just prance around her life's work in hopes of building the Vampire world again. Or anything else he had planned.

Nikola clucks softly. "Now, Helen," he chides. "If we're going to live together, you're really going to have to learn to share."

He loves phrases like 'live together.' They're so...delightfully ambiguous.
