Going home!
Well, as always, the end of the year creeps up fast. I'm just sitting here delaying the start time of my last final paper (I work better under pressure, honest!) and thinking about stuff. I've got good friends, family that loves me, and an academic record I can be proud of (save for that one Freshman year blotch). Also, I've slightly revised my thinking on choice between meaningful sobriety and meaningless drunkeness. I think with experience, if you don't get blackout-stupid drunk, you can actually have both. That one night of brotherhood with Tom, Joe, and Katsy showed me that. Of course, that was just the 4 of us and I'm always more comfortable in the small-group environment anyway. I think that's what caused my depression at Phippsmas. Not the drink, but just the massive amount of people. I don't know how I'm going to get over that or even if I need to. We'll see.
As for now, after that paper's done, I'm going to enjoy seeing my family and friends again. Woohoo!
