First of all; I hope everyone is doing well! I've been really busy as of late [well, distracted is more the word, really] so I haven't really been keeping up with LJ people [sorry!] but I might as well make a quick update;
Allergy season has hit and it has hit hard. Going outside is painful and I'm stuffed up even if I stay home. Fun. So I'll be missing a book sale this weekend [it's at a place that's constantly open to the outside so I know I'd be in agony], but really it's not a huge deal. I have more books than I need already but... man I love books. I can literally just wander around in a bookstore for hours.
My art block is tapering off [I drew a picture of Holland I like but I'm still sorta... out of it] but my writer's block is still firmly in place. [Although, really all I write is silly, mediocre fanfiction so nothing of value has been lost haha~]
I was playing Persona, but then Pokemon Platinum distracted me. Then Miles Edgeworth Ace Attorney distracted me from Pokemon Platinum. And now Pokemon Soul Silver has distracted me from Ace Attorney and I don't know when I'll get around to finishing all these games, let alone finding time for the new Final Fantasy game.
I saw Shutter Island and Alice in Wonderland a little while ago. Shutter Island was better than I thought it would be [the commercials made it look surreal and kind of Room 1408-esq; not that 1408 was bad, but still] and I quite enjoyed it. Alice in Wonderland was good too; visually it was just fantastic, but plot-wise I thought it was a little lacking. Alice falls through rabbit hole, Alice is told she must slay a dragon jabberwocky. Alice is convinced it's all a dream. Alice realises it's not a dream and slays said jabberwocky THE END. I just... idk, I was expecting more, I guess. Also, I was sad there weren't more characters involved. It didn't feel like a continuation of the book to me, even though iirc I'd heard it was suppose to be. Despite all that I really did enjoy the movie though.
And now that I've gotten all the minor stuff out of the way it's time to mention the 13th!
I hung out with
rainbowmiku and her girlfriend,
russian_snow on the 12th. The next day
rainbowmiku gave birth to her [super adorable!] son, Alfred. I can't believe how fast it happened haha~ But yeah, huge congratulations to the new mum. :) I'm still kind of in "omg wow YOU HAVE A BABY" mode.
So, yeah. That's been what's up with me lately.
Again, I hope everyone is doing MIGHTY FINE! well! I'll eventually stop being so lame and catch up on my flist.
