Ok, so, an entry.
Alot has been happening lately really. It really does feel like somebody just put their foot down on the accelerator of LIFE. Beautiful analogy.
Anyway, so I have three days to do this stupid English coursework, it being 25% of the grade. This is insanity.

The analogy is okay, but you didn't imply life was going faster, only that it had "alot" [cringe] happening. Maybe YOU are going faster (that's legit) so you could say that you were putting your foot down on the accelerator or something. Also, morbid means pertaining to disease. I'm not sure how this applies unless your mum's side of the family is sick? If this is true it was likely unintentional as you were pretty much saying "The concept of them dying in future is morbid", which is untrue unless it causes bacteria and viruses to grow within you.

Also OH SHIT you said "Due to lots of reasons". Say "For many reasons", and in other cases use "because" and "owing to".

Quoting: http://englishplus.com/grammar/00000208.htm

"Using Due To

Due to means "caused by." It should only be used if it can be substituted with "caused by."

It does not mean the same as "because of."

Incorrect: The game was postponed due to rain.

Correct: The game was postponed because of rain.

Correct: The game's postponement was due to rain.

The wordy expression due to the fact that should be replaced by because or since."
