It's also good to see that y'all are communicating w/each other. You're right about habits forming in the brain - at least according to certain psych studies I read in undergrad. The mind can become addicted to the chemicals that are associated either w/ happy feelings or sad feelings.. It's a pattern that can be hard to break. I'm not a huge proponent of drugs either though, especially when I hear about all the medication troubles people have...I use St. Johns Wart to help when I start feeling down. It's an herbal supliment that's pretty well-known for depression related helping...no doctors, no perscriptions...One of my mother's friends used it w/her son who was Bi-Polar and it helped better than his perscriptions....the effects would be a case-by-case basis, but it might be worth a shot...
good luck w/ everything!

I actually found the therapist by posting on partners_of_tg asking if anyone knew of a good therapist in my area. Two people recommended the same guy, so I went to his website and was impressed by his writings. You might try the same thing. I was a little nervous doing it as I am trying to keep this blog relatively anonymous and have not shared my location in my profile, but partners_of_tg screens their members so I felt pretty safe. I have been thinking of revealing my location anyway since Anna and I both want to connect with people in our area.
