Feels like its been forever...
So Anna has been sick and depressed since Friday. Nothing adds to a severe case of the blues like a severe case of the flu, right? Its been lots of fun (sarcasm doesnt translate too well over the internet, does it?). But things are slowly returning to a state of normalcy, or what passes for it in my life anyway!
Even as Anna has withdrawn into herself, I have been more and more motivated to get her on the transition track, for both our sakes! I am excited that a post on partners_of_tg has once again turned up a wealth of info, most specifically some names and numbers of trans-friendly doctors and therapists in our area. I dont know if we can afford the therapy, but if we can Anna could be on hormones as soon as the therapist agrees that she can do it. I cannot imagine it would take much to convince anyone she is genuinely gender dysphoric! Plus, though she hasnt been full time, Anna has been dressing the part at home since she was 6. That should count for some experience, right?
I think sometimes I can be most happy right after I have been really really sad for a bit. I am also excited to finally be clawing my way out of the financial hole I have been in since the breakup, thanks in part to the US federal government for their (sort of) generous refund on my taxes. [enjoy that one, cause its probably the last time you will ever hear it...]
Yeah, so not so bad all around right now.
