Packing wasn’t fun. It was especially not fun when you were trying like hell to avoid seeing your ex-girlfriend who had moved into YOUR apartment and your best friend/baby daddy (even if he wasn’t aware of the latter). But that’s what Callie was trying to do. This morning she found out she was pregnant and the stress between it all was driving her insane so she did the only thing she could think of: she ran to Mark’s apartment in hopes to pack a bag and be checked into a hotel before anyone could question her strange behavior. She winced when she ran in the bedroom to grab her discarded clothes. She took a moment to take a look at the bed that she had shared with Mark, a bed that he recently shared again with Lexie. Blinking back the tears, she reminded herself that she didn’t have time to reminisce on things like that right now. Maybe she should transfer, go somewhere with men or women with blue eyes didn’t haunt her.

She didn’t know what to do. She loved Arizona, but she had left her. She loved Mark, but she had forced herself to bury those feelings long ago during the transition between seeing trees, flowers and leaves. Sleeping with him these past few months had done nothing but bring all of those buried feelings to the forefront but before she could act on it, Lexie was back, Arizona was back and now Callie was pregnant. A quick glance at her watch forced Callie to grab a few more things and head towards the door. She was so busy fighting the voices in her head that she didn’t even hear the voices in the hallway.

“Cal?” The deep voice of Mark caused her to scream and grab her heart. “What’s with the bags?” She looked up to see the confusion swirling in the eyes of Mark, Lexie and Arizona. Great, just fucking great. The three people that she didn’t want to see. She forced herself to breathe but it was becoming too much. Arizona walking closer, Lexie leaning into Mark as he placed a protective arm around the younger woman’s waist. Callie felt dizzy and anxious and swore she was on the verge of having a panic attack. Before she could register what her brain was doing, her voice said the two words that would forever change the lives of all four people.

“I’m pregnant.”
