Moving update
Ok...we're half way into the month. Accomplished:
1) Rearranged the kids' room. Better access to clothes and whatnot...still have to unpack most of their toys and all their books...thank the gods for nearby friends. They can always go their to play.
2) Kitchen is as done as it's going to get. I'm still trying to figure out what to do with the plastics, but that is quickly sorting itself anyways. Soon, I'll be tossing a bunch in the trash or giving away good tupperware. We just don't use it or need it.
3) Bathrooms. One is done, the other, well...I need shelves in there. And I need organizer boxes to take the place of the drawers the kids had in the last place to keep their stuff separate (aka, somewhere I can dump their stuff to clean).
4) Livingroom/Dining room. This is one room. It has 5 boxes left where 3 aren't even suppose to go there...they are headed for the office...when there is room. There is also a pile behind Brachium's chair that needs to be sorted, but that is his job. There is room to dance!! Two comfy chairs to sit in and lots of cushions. I want to get the kids small beanbag chairs that I can toss out of the way if needed.
5) Office....don't ask.
6) Master bedroom...again, don't ask. I think I've found most of our clothes and a bunch of junk that wasn't suppose to arrive here.
My mom has come and gotten her china and dishes...YAY!!! (happy dance!) I also dumped several boxes of canning jars and a canning pot. I was to keep her reclining chair, but she didn't have anything for her new place come November so I relented and gave that back (she's lucky, I had originally meant to sell it with her permission). I can get another for cheap cheap and I won't have to wash it right off.
so feel free to come and visit our new place. It won't seem too much less chaotic than the last, but considering it's much smaller, this is a huge accomplishment!
I figure Housewarming for Nov 10th...it aught to be ok by then...heheh
