Christmas break was amazing, and I am so grateful for two great weeks off!
What did I do?
-A night out in RO to start the whole thing off
-A weekend at Scott's parent's for Christmas #1
-A visit with some college friends for Paul's arrival home
-A couple of lazy days at home with mom
-A Christmas Eve with a trip to the airport, a bit of boyfriend time, and a night with the fam
-A Christmas Day with great family and the love of my life
-A weekend with Scott's family for another Christmas celebration
-A lunch date with my kls
-A trip out in Troy for happy hour with some CMU friends
-A trip out to Lansing for dinner with some more CMU friends
-A great NYE in Detroit with all the boys
-A couple of amazingly lazy days with my man playing Mario Wii, watching Law and Order, pigging out, running a few errands, reading a great book, and beginning to prepare for the move!
Today brought back reality: I did laundry, paid for my grad school, got organized for work tomorrow, took my car to the mechanic, set up my new phone, and started packing for the move in just 12 days!
I'm feeling both sad and excited to go back to work tomorrow and grad school the day after that. I know once I get back into the swing of things, I will adjust, but two weeks off has certainly spoiled me. The part of the school year after Christmas break seems to fly by, so here's to finishing up another great year of teaching. :)
I'm excited to see my kids tomorrow and make sure they all had nice breaks too (I worry about them like they are my own children) and I am hopeful that I will truly enjoy my next grad class. Did I mention I got an "A" in the last one? Yay! :)
