FIRST: If you've been tagged, you must write your answers in your own LJ and replace any question that you dislike with a new, original question.

SECOND: Tag eight people. Don't refuse to do it like a pansy. Well, I'm just not going to bother because everyone on my friends list has been tagged anyway, and I'm going to save myself the trouble. :) Does that still make me a pansy?

1. Who sleeps in bed next to you?
Um, nobody human. My cat does sometimes.

2. What did you last eat?
A York peppermint cookie and a Vanilla something cookie. (Yum!)

3. What kinds of books do you read?
Fantasy, classics, reworkings of fairy-tales. My brother keeps asking me for stuff to read - he's really into classics too, so I keep telling him to read P&P but he just won't do it. I can't figure out why... ;) The best books ever are The Squire's Tales by Gerald Morris. I think everybody should read them - they are so fabulous and hilarious and witty and wonderful... I'm going to stop before I need to pull out a thesaurus to think of more adjectives. I like the Chronicles of Narnia and the Attolia books and Artemis Fowl too.

4. What are you reading right now?
Right now, hmm, let's see. I tend to read two or three books at a time, so... there's A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, The Princess and the Goblin by George MacDonald, I started Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince, but I'm not too crazy about HP and I'm only reading them so I know how the story ends, so I haven't touched it in weeks.

5. If you could be anywhere right now, where would it be?
Well, ever since Friday I've been dying to go to New Orleans and listen to some jazz, but I just found out my cousins are going to New York City and I am extremely jealous. I would love to go to a Broadway show. Le sigh.

6. Tell me something interesting that happened today.
Well, my brother called from school when I was the only one home and he said that the buses had been cancelled and he and my other brother needed a ride home. I said I'd call my parents, but they might have to wait a while, because my dad's phone is on the fritz and has been for months (he won't get a new one though! *rolls eyes*) and my mom never hears hers when she's shopping. Anyway, I called my dad's first and it went straight to 'this mobile customer is away from the phone or out of the area of service' even though I know he carries it with him at all times and I knew exactly where he was as well. So I called my mother and surprise, surprise! she answered! I informed her of the situation and the crisis was averted.

7. Name something odd within three feet of you.
My brother's baritone case and his music bag. I still don't know how he doesn't lose his music, because the thing is always open and flopping all over the place, but he manages it somehow. If it were my bag I would have lost everything in it at least twice already.

8. What is your current fandom obsession/addiction?
The Princess and the Frog! (Hence the mention of New Orleans in #5) Also, Anastasia and Star Wars. But I'm always obsessed with those two.

9. What movie (or whatever) did you watch last?
The Princess and the Frog, of course! Oh wait, no, I watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas on Saturday. (It was the good ole 60's one, not the lame-o new one.)

10. What are you most excited for?
Christmas in ten days! And I just found out there's gonna be another Attolia book! Squee!

11. What websites do you always visit when you go online?
NarniaWeb, Yahoo, Facebook, Google, LiveJournal, Hotmail

12. What was the last thing you bought?
A ticket for Princess and the Frog and a hot chocolate at Tim Hortons', both of which I have yet to pay my friend back for.

13. What do you want right now off the top of your head?
To see Princess and the Frog again! (Seeing a recurring theme here? In my defense, I did say it was my current obsession.)

14. What's your biggest procrastination method?
Graphics-making. It seems as though every time I have something I ought to do right away, I have a brilliant idea for graphics.

15. Are there any bits of childhood you miss?
I miss just being able to spend the day playing with Barbies or watching Princess movies or pining over American Girl catalogues. Wait... I still do all of those things... Okay then, I miss being sure you were good at everything and yet probably good at nothing, if that makes sense. When you're little, you're so rarely really good at anything that you can be quite certain that you can be anything you want when you grow up because the future can take any direction. When you actually are grown up it's not so straightforward. Also, because you're little, your older brother has not grown up to be the fabulous musician your parents want all their children to be, and it's a lot easier to say "hey, I wanna write books. How 'bout that?" because you don't know that they'll say "well, why don't you take piano lessons, then?" But now I'm whining, aren't I? Yes, yes I am. *clams up*

16. Spring, summer, fall or winter?
I like every single one - when it starts. Once it's been dragging on and on and on, then I don't like it so much anymore.

17. Say something to/about the person(s) who tagged you.
wunderkind_lucy and missadventure02 , I am so glad you tagged me, because I have been dying to get out that bit of whining in #15 for days and days now, even though I didn't realize it until now. (*sings: this is my therapy...*) Oh, and you both make splendiferous graphics as well. :)
