I think Keanu Reeves put it best when he said, "Whoa."

I just saw the movie "Shallow Grave." Starring Ewan MacGregor and Christopher Eccleston, written by John Hodge, directed by Danny Boyle. May I just say, my heart is still beating funny. Danny Boyle is freakin' intense. This wasn't quite on the level of "Sunshine" - I couldn't move for like five minutes after the first time I saw that - but man ( Read more... )

I wanted to start this comment with 'I can't believe you've never seen this before' but then I realise how patronising that sounds o_O

When it was first released, my Mum went to see it without me (I think I was at University at the time) and I was annoyed with her, and I waited until it was on TV. And WOW - what a way to discover Eccleston, McGregor and Boyle all at the same time. Now you've mentioned it, I'm going to download/order a copy straight away because it's a huge gap in my collection.

I can just remember Ewan's face near the end, and 'Happy Heart' playing. Oh wow, Eccleston is GENIUS in that film.

So glad you've seen it and enjoyed it!

I can't believe I'd never seen it before. Especially since Eccleston and MacGregor are two of my favorite actors. As my dad always tells me, my education has been sorely neglected. Of course, whenever Dad tells me that, I ask him whose fault that could be. I only saw it this time because it showed up free on pay-per-view and my parents watched it and then mentioned it to me. I instantly went to amazon.com to discover that it's no longer available. Ebay seems to be the way to go.
