I just saw the movie "
Shallow Grave." Starring Ewan MacGregor and Christopher Eccleston, written by John Hodge, directed by Danny Boyle. May I just say, my heart is still beating funny. Danny Boyle is freakin' intense. This wasn't quite on the level of "Sunshine" - I couldn't move for like five minutes after the first time I saw that - but man. I went into it expecting a horror movie, and got something much more gripping. It's ninety minutes, which makes it a short movie by today's standards, but it felt longer. That doesn't mean it was boring; it means I was completely drawn into the movie's world. Jeez, I can still feel my heart doing weird things. Recommended for anyone who likes intense psychological movies, and for anyone who knows, as I do, that few things on Earth are scarier than an insane Christopher Eccleston.*
*Except, of course, a vengeful Cillian Murphy.
