new apt
im now in capitol villa. im not particularly pleased with the current condition of the place, but its being improved... so thats good. nick went to ikea yesterday and got some good stuff for his room and for general use... so thats good too. im no longer homeless... thats a plus. i no longer live out of a minivan. im really trying to get all settled, but i dont want to in case they need to move stuff to fix/touch up paint and whatever else they need to do.
i went thrift shopping with bri the other day. monday i guess... because sunday night ryan, bri, shaina and i headed to grand rapids and ryan and i performed at Rumors drag show. i got some good feedback and only missed placing 1st by 7 points! darn!! i really could've used $50! So hopefully I'll be making trips out there in the future... i liked the setting and the lighting. I liked it way better than performing at spiral although i dont really know anyone in GR. I was already invited back to do a show in early September :-) But anyway- based on my feedback and my general excitement about drag again... i wanted to expand my wardrobe, get some more "costume-y" type stuffs. so thrifting proved to be very successful. i got a full tuxedo pretty much complete with cumberbun (sp?) shoes, nice coat and such. and other odds and ends. lots of new ideas. i'll probably be performing regularly if all goes according to plan.
i realized i gotta do more things im good at. after a frusterating game of disc golf where i couldn't do anything right... it danwed on me that i need some picker-uppers to make Lori happy. hehehe. this also includes getting involved with community theatre this year hopefully whether its lansing stuff or the peeps that did the renegade theatre this past weekend. stop kiss ruled!
