Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it, and happy lazing around the house eating delicious foods and reading fanfic day to others :)
I have already crossed off the celebrating Christmas bit and started the food bit (mmm, yum cha) so obviously it's time for Yuletide story opening, aka SQ wins at Yuletide gift receiving again. Aaaaaah I have been so lucky for so many years in a row, and this one is no exception. I got a long, wonderful Night at the Museum story and I love it. :)))))))

My writer me everything I wanted, from the glimpses of the other museum inhabitants after hours and the feeling that there's a whole universe to explore, to the slow build from prickly enmity to friendship to something more for Octavius and Jedediah.
And it's just beautifully written and paced so well, with lots of great detail about the museum and the worlds of the characters that haven't been explored much in the movies themselves. And best of all, they've managed to capture the voices so well - I can just see and hear it in my head crystal clear.
There's also a lovely, sweet ending that had me grinning like an idiot at the screen with hearteyes - it all just mad me happy. Thank you Yuletide santa!
And now, to dive into the rest of the archive, peppermint choc fudge in one hand, and a cool drink in the other. :)
