It took me a few tries on Google, but I found it: the awful early-era NSYNC song I just could not remember the name of today.

It was RIDDLE.

One listen of its incredibly repetitive eurotrash electro dance pop strains on YouTube (here - you know you want to!) brought it all back to me.

Now I can go to bed. :)

I remembered its awfulness but I couldn't remember its name! I had a big group of fangirls all offering their own suggestions when I brought up "um, you know, that terrible early era NSYNC song" but not one of us mentioned Riddle. :) I had to come home and work it out before it drove me mad.

I'm sorry to inflict it on virgin ears! I just wanted to share the lolz. :)

oh, Riddle! I'm a bad Nsync fan that I'd forgotten that one, though the repression is understandable.

I think Chris once said in an interview or something that "hey, we apologised for Riddle" when someone brought it up.

The non-album song that I was trying to remember was Here and Now - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CI3xJOEABcQ

Hee. It's okay Chris, we understand that Lou was evil.

Here and Now is soppy and terrible in that Celine Dion ballad way...I think I'd wiped that from my memory too. :)

Hah, riddle, of course it was. I think it's so bad I've never listened to it, or something.

Ooh. I'd always been so curious about a song that could made hardened pop-loving fangirls recoil that as soon as I tracked down a copy (back in the days when media was much harder to come by...and we trek'd both ways in the snow...) I had to listen to it. And then promptly told myself NEVER to listen to it again. :)
