I haz a dreamwidth! Many thanks to copracat. I am, unimaginatively enough, still called proteinscollide, because SQ is too short and I have not been the longform for a long long time.
Anyway, testing cross posting function with a meme: this is the first time I've had enough icons to really play this game :) *revels in many many icon slots*

Because that was - is - my first reaction on seeing this picture of JT. It's the combination of that stare, the leather wristcuff and the chain, the dark short hair. I fell into popslash around the time his first album came out, and before then he was the bleached blond poodle haired nasally voiced teen from some boyband, which wasn't attractive to me at all, and then BAM! guh
snoopy jane
I found this set of lovely illustrations of the Peanuts gang (one of my first great pop culture loves in life) as various other pop culture duos. This is possibly the more disturbing one (Snoopy and Charlie Brown don't have *that* kind of relationship!) but it's such a funny, beautiful picture. Though I am also very fond of Snoopy as Batman and Woodstock as Robin.

The ennui of Brendon and Spencer's poses, the faded gold in their clothes and on the wall behind them; it made me think of Brideshead Revisited and another OTP of mine in a perfect moment: 'Just the place to bury a crock of gold,’ said Sebastian. ‘I should like to bury something precious in every place where I've been happy and then, when I was old and ugly and miserable, I could come back and dig it up and remember.'

I have a set of emo!Pete icons, lots of 100x100 representations of Pete looking down and pensive and pouty. This one I like mostly because of the yellow in the background, like twisty tongues of flames.
in your head all alone
I have a thing for people looking away from the camera, looking inwards, like they're in some hidden place of their own that the viewer can never ever reach.
